Testimonials:
“My
name is Marta and I’m currently the intern Marketing Assistant
at Kumuka Worldwide, Sydney Office. I have joined Kumuka in May 2010
as an intern. I am an Italian student in Tourism Management at the University
of Milan. I have done 6 months internship and I have learnt a lot and
I have put in practice what I have been studying for years. It was a
great experience for me as I was able to work in all the different departments
and I have collaborated in interesting projects.
The team here in Sydney is fantastic, with young, dynamic and
motivated people. They were always ready to help me and to assist me
when I was in need. You’re all working together towards a common
goal and it was really challenging as you feel part of the team, not
just an intern.
I have started in the Marketing Department helping compose press
releases, dealing with Tourism Boards and developing some interesting
projects. Then I have started to help the Operational Department doing
many cost comparisons, researches about competitors, and analysing performance
of Kumuka pricing strategy in relation to competitors. Meanwhile I was
helping the Reservation Team with daily and administration tasks.
Kumuka has started to give me responsibility very early on. It
was really challenging and I have learnt to deal with new tasks without
going looking for them. Even if at the beginning it was a bit scary
for me as my mother tongue it’s Italian and it was my first work
experience abroad, I can definitely say that the responsibilities they
gave me made me grown so much and I had the feeling that this was more
than a standard internship. Now that I have finished this fantastic
experience I can definitely recommend Kumuka to everyone!
If you want to apply you really just have to have the passion
and enthusiasm for the travel industry and for adventurous travel company
and then it will be a really great experience. “
