Introduction: This week long fly in fly out safari covers two of the best reserves to be found in Kenya. Amboseli National Reserve is located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, and is home to the nomadic Masai people. All around Amboseli you will see occupied and abandoned engangs - Masai villages quickly built and later abandoned when the grazing is finished and the herds moved on. Mount Kilimajaro, with its snow-capped peak, forms a majestic backdrop to the spectacular wildlife found in the reserve. Porini Camp is set up in the exclusive wildlife conservancy of Ol Kinyei. Next stop Kicheche Mara Camp, located on the Aitong Plains in the northern Koiyaki Lemek region of the famous Masai Mara. The camp is hidden in a grove of wild olive and croton trees in a prime wildlife area. Game viewing starts right from the camp itself.
