Introduction: From the vast city of Cairo, we head across the wilderness to the oldest monastery in the world, and to Mount Sinai, the Holy Mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments. We cross the Gulf of Aqaba and into the Kingdom of Jordan. Here we take a jeep safari across the stunning desert landscape of Wadi Rum with its beautiful rock formations where Lawrence of Arabia roamed. We travel along the old Caravan Route to Petra where we wander through the famous rose red rock city, a World Heritage Site built over 2000 years ago. We float on the Dead Sea, the lowest point in the world, see the mosaic city of Madaba, and explore the old city of Jerash. Our tour ends in Jordan's capital Amman, where we visit the citadel and meander through the bustling souqs.
