Scott and Jo did an amazing job in very trying circumstances, as we were driving back into Cairo during the riots/revolution, and arrived just as the media blackout occurred - losing all communication with the outside world! The inspired decision to drive to the airport to gather information about whether it was safe to travel to the hotel ensured that the 14 people leaving from Cairo were in as safe a place as they could be, and werent going to miss their prebooked flights. Scott and Jo bore an immense amount of stress, while still keeping smiling faces, and making sure we were as informed as they were. They consulted us, and listened to our input before making decisions, and definitely made the right call in what was a sketchy situation.
The beauty of the tours are that everything is done - the thinking has already been done, so you just have to turn up and enjoy the ride :)
2 optional activities stand out - Abu Simbel, and balooning over the Valley of the Kings! Amazing. Of the tour, Petra was by far the most amazing thing i have ever seen, and was an incredible day. Sinai was also awesome, and Dahab - 3 days of relaxation in a beautiful placeScott and Jo were amazing tour guides! The knowledge of everywhere that we went was incredable, and a real advantage.Scott's cooking on tour was better than any restaurant that we ate at, and we had an amazing time with an amazing group of people, in a very interesting time in Egypt - and the Middle Easts - history! We loved every minute, always felt safe, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Cant wait to go again :)
